Beef-Up Your Tie Rods. Beef-up your tie rods with the Rough Country HD OEM Tie Rod Sleeve Upgrade for Lifted Knuckles. The shafts of your factory tie rods have an outside diameter of only 0.50-inch making these prone to bending when running larger tires, or giving your Sierra truck a knuckle lift. These tie rod sleeves are designed to slip over the tie rod shafts increasing their diameters by up to 1 inch. By doing so, these sleeves provide your stock tie rods with added strength, allowing them to take the stresses of adding a lift kit, and running larger tires.
Brawny Build Quality. These tie rod sleeves are manufactured from high-grade steel. More importantly, the walls of these sleeves measure approximately 0.25-inch to provide your tie rods with the necessary heft to handle larger tires and lifted knuckles. Likewise, these sleeves feature a galvanized finish increasing the steel’s corrosion resistance significantly.
Easy Install Procedure. Installing these tie rod sleeves is a relatively easy procedure as these components are designed to thread into your tie rods in the same location as the rods’ jam nuts, replacing them. No modifications to your truck are needed for proper installation. Please note that you will need to have your alignment checked after installing these sleeves.
Application. The Rough Country HD OEM Tie Rod Sleeve Upgrade for Lifted Knuckles fit all 2007 to 2013 GMC Sierra 1500 models.
Application Notes. These Rough Country tie rod sleeves only work on trucks equipped with lifted front knuckles. Also, these won’t fit aftermarket tie rods.
