This shock absorber improves ride quality and handling both on and off-road, making it an essential upgrade for 2007-2026 Silverado 1500 and Sierra models with rear lift applications.
Construction and Appearance. Built with a nitrogen-charged monotube design, this shock features a 6063 anodized aluminum body and reservoir for superior heat dissipation and corrosion resistance. The 5/8 inch chrome-plated hardened steel shaft resists corrosion and pitting, while the 6061 aluminum internal components add durability and strength, finished with a high-tech appearance.
Installation. Installation is straightforward with mostly OE factory-type fitment using polyurethane bushings and forged steel mounting stems. Some models may require slight modifications to rear shock absorber mounts; however, no drilling is typically needed.
