Description
The Eventuri Black Carbon Intake System for the Toyota A90 Supra and BMW G29 Z4 M40i has been engineered to provide the B58 turbocharger with a less restrictive airflow path while maintaining low inlet temperatures. Designed specifically for the B58 engine platform, this system addresses the critical relationship between heat management and intake volume required for consistent turbocharged performance through a fully sealed carbon fiber airbox construction.
Within the Supra engine bay, the intake system is positioned close to the exhaust manifold, creating elevated temperatures that reduce air density and force the turbo to work harder to generate boost. To combat heat soak effects, Eventuri developed a dual-feed configuration that identifies an additional opening toward the wheel arch and incorporates a secondary air feed into the airbox. This approach increases the availability of cooler ambient air without sacrificing the benefits of a sealed system.
Constructed from prepreg carbon fiber and finished to Eventuri’s exacting standards, the system features an integrated heat shield with gold reflective backing to minimize radiant heat transfer from the exhaust side of the engine bay. The carbon fiber construction provides both structural integrity and thermal management properties essential for sustained turbocharged performance in the confined B58 engine bay environment.
The restrictive factory intake tube is replaced with a smooth, high-volume carbon fiber inlet featuring a 111mm internal diameter that gradually tapers to match the turbo inlet. This continuous path design reduces turbulence and improves overall turbo efficiency through maximized internal volume for improved flow characteristics. The system includes a bespoke high-flow dry cone filter that is ISO-tested for filtration performance and offers a larger surface area than the OEM filter.
