Simple Install Procedure. This hood scoop is designed to mount onto your hood using a combination of 3M automotive-grade double-sided adhesive and a special polyurethane adhesive. No cutting or drilling into your Sierra is needed. Before installation, it is advised that you first clean and wash the hood area before applying the included adhesive promoter to ensure total adhesion. Also, when mounting this assembly in cold weather, warm-up the mounting surface first, as the adhesive is most effective on warm surfaces. This can be accomplished using a heat gun, hairdryer, or by letting your engine run for a few minutes. Finally, when considering painting this component, do so before installation to maximize efficiency.
